Quick update

Had my ob appt today and I'm now at 3cm and still 90%. She asked if I wanted to be induced but knowing there is an increased risk of c-section with that I told her we will just wait and see how the week goes. Baby girl will come when she is ready and I guess maybe because it's so stinking cold outside she wants to stay in a bit longer.

Room is ready

Thought I would share a few pics of baby's room with you all. Sorry I had to write over her name so you wouldn't see. We are so happy with how it all turned out, except for the curtains. I ordered fabric and took them to a seamstress so I wouldn't mess them up and when I picked them up yesterday and hung them they were about 4-5" too short...Ugghhh after all the time and money I spent picking out fabric I could have done that but it will have to do.

Jason's birthday was last week and he is a huge Duke basketball fan and with it being basketball season I thought she needed a little outfit to watch her first game with her daddy.

Still nothing going on. I made a little hat for baby today for her pictures the week after she is born. They have tons of these little hats on etsy.com ($20- $30) but just couldn't stand to spend the money when I knew I could make it for a fraction of the price...ok like $1.00 after using my Michael's coupon. Yes call me frugal I really don't mind. I guess you are paying for the time, but for an amature it took me about 1 1/2 hrs. Not too bad.

OB appointment is tomorrow we will see what she says this week. I'm curious to see if I'm dilated any more than last week or if I'm stuck at a 2. :(

38 weeks today!!

I've reached 38 weeks. I can't believe how fast time has gone but now I feel like the clock has stopped. Maybe due to a little excitement and anxiety. I had some contractions on Monday night into Tuesday morning and just a few here and there last night. Today is Jason's birthday and I told him this morning I don't think he will be getting a daughter for his birthday. He was totally fine with that.



The only thing i'm a bit nervous about is the whole blood thing. I've been on Lovenox the whole pregnancy and my OB wants me try and not do an injection 24-48 hrs before I go into labor. Kinda hard to judge that one but she said I would know. We will see.

Getting closer

Jason and I guessed this morning if I had changed any from two weeks ago. He said 2cm and I said 1cm and 50% so I have to say it he was right. I had my OB appointment this afternoon and I'm now 2cm and 90%. The 90% threw me for a second and I think my Dr. could tell. I asked her what her guess would be since she sees so many different situations and she said she is not planning on seeing me for my appointment next week and would be shocked if she did. As much as I really wanted to have her in February I don't think that's going to happen. It really doesn't matter we just want her to be here and be healthy. Will keep you posted.

Nothing really to write about other than I feel huge. Class starts back up tomorrow, it's been 6 weeks since I've seen everyone. I think they are going to be shocked at how much my belly has grown.

One of the girls I work with brought in these adorable cookies her daughter makes. They are so detailed and almost too cute to eat. I talked with her about doing some cookies for the RE office after baby was born so I could let them know how thankful we are that they helped create our little miracle. I told her I wanted to do a day five embryo, sperm, and one that has her name and date of birth. I can't wait to see what she comes up with. I will definitely post pics of those before I ship them, as they will be one of kind, I'm sure of it. 35 w 5days

We had our first real snow here last night and it has continued to snow all day. It worked out nice that I had my OB appt scheduled at 2:20 today so I got to leave early and beat the later traffic. I thought maybe over the weekend baby had turned head down and the Dr. confirmed that today...Yay! At my last appt I was measuring a week ahead but this week I was right on. She said I was possibly dilated about 1/2 cm which is fine by me because I really don't want to have her early. It might sound bad but with my school schedule this semester we have two test in the first 2 weeks of class so I would like to get those out of the way before she comes. Only one month to go!!

2011

Last night we just stayed in and watched the celebration in NYC on TV. We made a pizza and ate some snacks. I did make it to midnight but not with out a few episodes of resting my eyes. Cheers to an eventful New Year! What a great year this is going to be! I have a feeling that the years are going to fly by now that we are starting a family.
